2. The choice of broodstock

Males fish are required to weigh more than 0.5 kg, lightly press their abdomen, and a small amount of white semen will flow out of the genital pores. The male and female catfish can be distinguished from the following three points: one is the appearance of the genital pores, red and swollen, and the irregular round should be female; the second is to look at the abdomen, soft and swollen, the outline is obviously female , and vice versa; The third is to look at the tail fork. The tail fork is deep and the fork opening to the base of the tail fin is male, while the fork opening is shallow, and it is female if it does not open to the base of the tail fin or without the fork. 3. Artificial induction and incubation
When the water temperature rises to 18°C ​​and is relatively stable, artificial labor can be induced. The method of inducing labor uses two injections with a time interval of 10 hours. The injection site is in the base muscle of the dorsal fin. The drugs used to induce labor were DOM (dione maleate) and LHRH-A2 (Ovulation 2). The dose of female fish was 5 mg DOM/kg body weight + 5 μg LHRH-A2/kg body weight, and the dose of male fish was halved. The two injections have the same drug and dose.
