First, identify from the label and instructions of the fish feed. The label and instructions for use of qualified compound feed (fish feed) must have the following:
    1. The packaging or label of the commercial fish feed must be marked with the following: product name, enterprise production certificate number, approval number, labeling “This product meets the sanitary standard”, raw material composition, guaranteed value (crude protein, moisture, calcium, Phosphorus, crude fiber, coarse ash, salt), product standard number, medicated feed to be noted, instructions for use, net weight, date of manufacture, shelf life, storage, corporate information, other necessary content can be marked.
    2. The contents of the qualified fish feed product labels and instructions must be true and accurate, without false or exaggerated information. The text is clear, the logo is eye-catching, and there is no sticking or cutting.

Second, the intrinsic quality of commercial fish feed is tested. Sampling inspection shall be carried out according to the product standard (enterprise standard) corresponding to the product standard number, and the products whose sampling results are inconsistent with the standard are unqualified commodities.
Judging the quality of a feed should be considered in terms of appearance quality and internal nutrition; it should be evaluated from the scale of the enterprise, equipment, technology, manpower and other conditions. However, as aquaculture households, the most direct and original identification of fish feed quality is mostly sensory. Only by choosing high-quality and efficient products can we obtain better economic benefits.
Conditional enterprises can consider introducing fish feed pellets to produce fish feed by themselves, which not only saves feed costs, but also guarantees the quality and quality of fish feed.
